Making it to the Main Event

"The facility was excited to help Heidi achieve her goals and celebrate her accomplishments!" Physical Therapist Cheri

With a special promise to her niece serving as her motivation, Heidi worked hard each day to overcome challenges and celebrate every milestone along the way.

Heidi came to Fairfield Village following multiple surgeries and an ankle fracture that required months of not putting weight on her leg. While returning home was an important goal, Heidi had one mission in mind: be able to take her niece to an out-of-state BTS concert.

From the moment she arrived, every therapy session and every milestone brought her one step closer to keeping that word.

Working alongside occupational therapist Denise and physical therapist Cheri, Heidi tackled each challenge with determination. She worked hard every day knowing each milestone brought her closer to the goal she had set from the very beginning. With that goal in mind, Heidi made remarkable progress, allowing her to:

  • Master the safe use of her knee scooter for everyday mobility
  • Regain independence with her daily activities
  • Navigate stairs in preparation for returning home

The team loved celebrating every milestone with Heidi, and while they’ll miss seeing her around Fairfield Village, they’re happy knowing she’s one step closer to making unforgettable memories with her niece.
